Marisa received her dual bachelor’s degrees in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology and English Literature and graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas, after which she earned a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. In graduate school, Marisa became a member of the Alpha Eta Society, a national allied health honor society. Her externship placements in Lubbock included pediatric home health with Therapy 2000 and the Lubbock Independent School District, as well as the Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Baylor Scott & White Children’s Specialty Clinic in Temple, Texas. Marisa finds the greatest joy in getting to help make language accessible for all. Marisa grew up in Graham, so she was excited to return to her hometown and join the Lighthouse Therapy team.
